Hello, today I wanted to take a little time and share with you the WHY behind my passion. If you know me, you know my driving force is helping people fall in love with their lives. I was recently asked, “What are you passionate about?” And without blinking an eye, I said, “I’m passionate about helping people fall in love with their life.” And he said, “What does that mean?” I said, “I wake up every day, and I just want to help and guide people to their best version of themselves.”
I want your best life, I want your best health, I want your best revenue, I want the best for you. And I don’t think that you don’t want the best for you, but I have to tell you that in 25 years of teaching people how to tap into the best, I’m still frustrated that most don’t really understand what it means. I’ve got a picture over my shoulder of Einstein, and Einstein said years, and years, and years ago, “We cannot solve problems at the same level of thinking that we were at when we created those problems.”
I think we work too hard, and I don’t think we make enough. And I’m on a mission right now, I am obsessed with helping people achieve freedom. And what I mean by that is you can make choices that are high-performance choices that allow you to run your business in a high-performance way, which then gives you the chance to have a high-performance life. And I’m talking about your health, your wealth, the intimacy of your marriages and your partnerships. I mean, everything gets better when you get better.
I got something today, and I just want to read this to you, because I think this is proof of what’s possible. This is a gal that’s in our high-end Elite Program, and I’ve known her for about 20 years. This email came in today and at the very top, the email says, “48% lead to application conversion.” So in the mortgage world, what we know is that’s the number of borrowers that a loan originator talks to, and the number of applications that go into processing as a result of that.
She says, “When I came into Elite in January, this year, lead to app conversion was just under 25%. I was spinning my wheels something fierce. On our first Elite webinar, and even in private discussions with Todd at the Masters’ Class in February, and coaching with Tim, that was my one thing I shared that I wanted to focus on in the next two quarters. Woo-hoo!” She says. “This is so cool to see the things we have focused on work. I’m walking on a cloud, you’ve made my day and yes, we’ll keep improving sites on 75 to 80% as you’ve pointed out. Holy cow, that is high, but I’m going for it.”
I just want you to imagine a world in which you could double your yes factor, double the conversion rate, double the speed of trust, and double the velocity with which people say “Yes, I want to do business with you.” The questions you ask have a lot to do with conversion. The value you create has a lot to do with conversion. The way that you distance yourself from the competition has a lot to do with conversion. At the end of the day, you need to be disruptive, and you need to be unique and different from other people.
One of our favorite lines is this: I can say to any borrower, a lot of lenders are happy to quote you a rate and give you a fee estimate, we’re different, and how we’re different is we help our borrowers integrate the mortgage that they ultimately select into their long and short-term financial and investment goals, and their payment, and equity, and cash flow objectives.
By doing that, we can help custom architect a home loan solution for you, and help you manage that mortgage for the rest of your life. This is what we’re talking about here. We’re talking about your best life. You’re putting hours in, are you getting everything out? And if you’re not, then you’ve got to take a close hard look at the value you’re creating, and the words that you’re using, and the questions that you ask, so that people trust you and say, “Yes, this is a big, big, big deal.” Don’t work harder, work smarter.
